Articulation Agreement: American Intercontinental University

American Intercontinental University is a centuries-old university with a wide variety of online programs. AIU’s Bachelor of Business Administration degree online may also help you build on the experience you already have and help you prepare to pursue additional opportunities in your area of interest.

Midwestern Career College graduates with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration are approved to enter the following Bachelor of Business Administration Specialization programs: Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Fashion Marketing*, Finance, General Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Human Resource Management, LCB Hospitality Management, Management, Marketing, Operations Management, and Project Management.

Upon enrollment, students should provide AIU with a current copy of their official or unofficial transcript so that a tentative degree plan can be created. An official MCC transcript must be on file at AIU for credit to be applied. Transcripts must be sent to PriorLearningAssessment@aiuniv.edu. Students should include Articulation in the subject line, and indicate that they are enrolling under the terms of the Midwestern Career College/AIU articulation agreement.

The student must meet the specific Bachelor’s degree requirements of AIU, which may mean extending the number of credit hours to earn the degree if the 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours in the Associate degree do not include all of the degree prerequisites or graduation requirements of AIU. Students may be required to complete AIU courses, if equivalent courses were not completed within Associate degree, including additional general education courses if necessary. This may extend total program length beyond 180 quarter hours, depending on the coursework completed within the conferred Associate degree, and if the Associate degree was in a different field than the student’s selected program at AIU.
