First Responders Benefits

Welcome, First Responders! You’re a valuable part of our community. You risk your life for the benefit of others. You give so much, and we want to give back to you. We know that college for yourself or your family isn’t always affordable, and we work to make the cost of a good education easier to achieve.

Scholarships

The First Responders Family Friendly Scholarship awards up to $1,000 toward tuition costs for yourself, spouse, or dependent. The scholarship eligibility applies toward yourself and your family for active duty First Responders. Call 312-236-9000 x 1 or email us at admissions@mccollege.edu.

The scholarship awards are depending on the student’s primary program of enrollment:

• $1,000 scholarship award toward an Associate’s Degree
• $500 scholarship award toward a Certificate program

Who is eligible to apply?

• First Responders in active service including Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, Paramedics, and Emergency Medical Technicians
• Spouses of First Responders indicated above
• Dependents of First Responders indicated above

Waiver of Application Fee

For programs with an application fee, MCC will waive the cost of the application fee for yourself, your spouse, or your dependents.
