Why MCC?
Accredited Institution
Attending a college with institutional accreditation brings prestige to your degree and ensures the college’s curriculum meets accrediting organizations’ standards of quality. All of MCC’s degree programs are accredited by the Council of Occupational Education (COE), while Midwestern Career College’s English Language Program is accredited by the Commission of English Language Program Accreditation (CEA).
Career-focused Outlook
At MCC, not only is our curriculum consistently reviewed by industry professionals, it is also taught by instructors who were previously or are currently working in their field of expertise. All degree programs provide students the opportunity for OPT/CPT, which are programs that allow international students to gain professional experience in their field with American employers.
Diversity
Every year, over 400 international students from over 40 countries all around the world come together to study at MCC.
MCC staff members foster a welcoming international environment; they speak over 10 languages and come from 10 different countries around the world. We also pride ourselves on employing several of our international students on campus to promote career readiness and a diverse community both inside and outside the classroom.
No matter where you’re from, whether you’re right out of high school, a young professional, or well into your career, you will find your crowd at MCC.
Prime Location
MCC has two downtown Chicago locations for International students, both less than a 5-minute walk from public transportation. During breaks and after classes, students can easily walk to restaurants, food trucks, and find comfortable outdoor seating areas among the skyscrapers.
The city itself houses tens of thousands of international students who, because of the relatively low cost of living, can enjoy Chicago’s museums, architecture, sporting events, restaurants, and professional networking opportunities.
