On May 1, 2026, just one week after graduation, 20 MCC Surgical Technology graduates sat for the 175-question national certification exam. All 20 students successfully passed and are now Certified Surgical Technologists, prepared to begin their careers in surgical technology and enter operating room environments with nationally recognized credentials.
The CST credential is widely recognized throughout the healthcare industry and reflects knowledge in surgical procedures, sterile technique, patient safety, instrumentation, and operating room protocols. Achieving certification immediately after graduation demonstrates the dedication of MCC students and the strength of the college’s Surgical Technology training program.
Faculty, staff, and clinical partners across both campuses congratulate the graduates on this outstanding accomplishment and look forward to seeing them contribute to healthcare teams throughout the region.
