Financial Aid Verification Policy

Financial Aid Verification Policy

Verification is the process of checking the accuracy of the data supplied by the applicants. The following procedures will be followed at this College:

Deadline

The ISIR must be in by the student’s last day of attendance or by the date posted by USDE each year, whichever comes first. Students who are selected for verification must complete the verification process (submit all required forms and have the ISIR corrected) within 120 days of their last day of attendance or within 120 days of the date posted by USDE each year, whichever comes first. If the student does not complete verification within the timeframe, then the student will not qualify for Title IV at this College.

If students are selected for verification by CPS, there will be an asterisk * next to their EFC on the ISIR. MCC also may decide to select a student for verification and at their discretion, may require a student to verify any FAFSA information and to provide any reasonable documentation in accordance with consistently applied school policies.
