January 14, 2026. Midwestern Career College (MCC) is proud to celebrate a significant scholarly achievement by one of our faculty members. Dr. Shreya Virani, Business Lead Instructor at MCC, has published a peer-reviewed research paper titled “Hybrid Work Model in IT Companies for Effective Employee Performance: A Qualitative Approach.”
The paper appears in the International Journal of Organizational Analysis (IJOA), published by Emerald Publishing, a globally recognized academic publisher known for rigorous peer review and high-impact research in organizational studies, management, and applied business disciplines. Dr. Virani collaborated with Sarika Sharma (corresponding author) and Jatinderkumar R. Saini on this study, contributing MCC’s academic perspective to a broader international research collaboration.

Dr. Virani’s research examines the hybrid work model from the employee perspective, offering timely and evidence-based insights into one of the most significant workforce transformations of the modern era.
Drawing on qualitative analysis, the study explores how hybrid work arrangements influence:
The findings are presented through a structured framework of themes and sub-themes, supported by a pictorial representation of key hybrid work factors and a hypothesized conceptual model. As described in the paper, the research determines how this emerging paradigm impacts employee performance and extends to job satisfaction, work-life balance, and employee well-being.
Beyond its academic contribution, Dr. Virani’s work reflects MCC’s commitment to applied learning and research that informs real-world decision-making. The study is particularly relevant for organizations navigating work-from-office (WFO), work-from-home (WFH), and hybrid models while striving to maintain performance, accountability, and employee engagement.
Dr. Virani has also expressed interest in sharing her perspectives on hybrid and flexible work models within the MCC context, translating research findings into actionable insights that support institutional effectiveness and workforce success.
“Dr. Virani’s publication exemplifies the caliber of scholarship and professional leadership we value at MCC. Her research addresses a critical issue facing organizations today and demonstrates how evidence-based inquiry can guide better decisions for both employees and employers.”
