Angelica Morales is from Joliet, IL and is the Medical Assistant Development Coordinator at University of Chicago Medicine.  She has worked at UChicago Medicine for almost 4 years. She began as a medical assistant in the Orland Park location, working in Adult Multi specialty.  After working as a medical assistant for one year she was promoted to Lead Medical Assistant over Adult multi-specialty, Pediatric multi-specialty, Ortho, and Women’s Health. 

She currently holds a medical assistant certificate (AAMA), a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Leadership, a Master’s Certificate in Human Resources, and will be graduating in May 2023 from the University of St. Francis in Joliet with a Master’s of Science in Healthcare Administration with a minor in Data Science.  She is a Mexican American who grew up with two older sisters, and both of her parents are from Mexico but spent most of their life here in United States.

Clinical Coordinator of Neurodiagnostics, Neurodiagnostic Testing Center, Swedish Hospital Part of NorthShore

Maureen graduated from UIC with a bachelor’s degree in biological science, entered Intraoperative Neuromonitoring as tech with US Neuromonitoring in 2002, and received her CNIM in 2003.

She spent 8 years there, working with surgeons at multiple hospitals, and gained experience in all types of cases including advanced spine and craniotomy surgeries.  She came to Swedish in 2010 to help pioneer the intraoperative program and has completed over 4000 surgical cases during her career.  She is currently the Clinical Coordinator of Neurodiagnostics at Swedish Hospital Part of NorthShore.
