MCC Surgical Tech Graduates Achieve 100% Certification Pass Rate

Midwestern Career College’s Surgical Technology program continues to set the standard for clinical excellence, with the October 2025 cohort achieving a perfect 100% pass rate on the national certification exam—demonstrating MCC’s commitment to preparing career-ready surgical technologists in Chicago.

Midwestern Career College is proud to highlight the outstanding success of our October 2025 Surgical Technology graduates, who achieved a 100% pass rate on the NBSTSA national certification exam. All 22 students who took the exam passed on their first attempt—a remarkable accomplishment that reflects both their dedication and the strength of MCC’s hands-on training.

This milestone reflects the focused effort of our students and the guidance of MCC’s experienced Surgical Technology faculty. Certification success at MCC is built on more than just coursework—it comes from practical lab experience, expert instruction, and a supportive learning environment designed to prepare students for real-world clinical practice.

“This is an outstanding achievement for our October cohort,” said Brittany Burgess, Program Director for Surgical Technology at MCC. “It shows what’s possible when students stay committed and our faculty provide consistent, hands-on guidance. We’re proud of every student and grateful to the entire Surgical Technology team for making this success possible.”

This pass rate milestone follows on the heels of a major program update in May 2025: continued accreditation through 2035 from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

Together, these achievements showcase the quality and consistency of MCC’s approach to surgical technology training and certification support.
