Medical Assistant Students Get Certified for Phlebotomy

Congratulations are in order for a group of students in Midwestern Career College’s Medical Assisting program who have recently been certified in phlebotomy. Specifically, each of them is now a National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCPT) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). To be certified while still in class is a big deal, because it means they can start working as phlebotomists, getting valuable work experience while still in the program—a huge career head start.

Here is the list of our newly certified phlebotomists and soon-to-be medical assistants:

  • Jessica C.
  • Alkethia C.
  • Suhi G.
  • Rose G.
  • Jenny H.
  • Lauren L.
  • Beatriz L.
  • Marcella S.

Congratulations!

Medical Assistants Recognition Week

Did you know October 16–20 is Medical Assistants Recognition Week, which is an opportunity for us to recognize the medical assistants in our lives. So we at MCC would like to take this chance to recognize the medical assistants in training here at Midwestern Career College.
