Michigan Surgical Center- Medical Assistant Full Time
Job Description:
| 1. Greets & screens patients and assists patients to the intake area |
| 2. Assist with completing the tasks described to be completed during patient intake as per “intake procedure”. These include specimen testing, minimal phlebotomy, obtains vital signs and updating patient medical information |
| 3. Assisting in the transfer of patients to the operating table utilizing appropriate transport safety precautions |
| 4. Reassures the patient by providing both verbal and tactile interaction |
| 5. Positions patient utilizing appropriate equipment and following facility policies and procedures |
| 6. Completes housekeeping responsibilities for assigned procedure room between cases. |
| 7. Follows facility’s policy and procedure manual |
| 8. Once a day or as need completes housekeeping including wet mopping, dusting and wiping down of surfaces in non procedural areas |
| 9. Assists in the transport of patient to and from recovery area. |
| 10. Assists in cleaning of rooms and preparation for next procedure and patient |
| 11. Inventory management |
| 12. Other duties may be assigned
