About the role
What you’ll do
- Manage billing and collections: Oversee billing and collection activities across all customer and transaction types (e.g., customers using financing, commercial customers with charge accounts, payments via title companies, etc.), utilizing your customer service skills to follow-up on payment and resolve payment issues
- Ensure order accuracy: Use your strong attention to detail to review order information, ensuring orders are properly paid and coded according to policy, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Build and utilize general accounting skills: Assist the Controller with general accounting responsibilities, including month-end close processes, tax reporting, journal entries, and document collection
- Dig into the numbers: Leverage your analytical skill set to develop, analyze, and maintain reports, including ageing receivables, operating expenses, etc.
- Drive process improvements: Help us identify and act on opportunities to improve our accounts receivable and general accounting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (but not required with equivalent experience)
- 1 – 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on accounts receivable
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
