Irene Zamora has always had a passion for empowering Youth and Adults with a career path that can help put them on the stable track they need for a secure future. Irene has strong community base organization, social services and outreach skills.
Irene currently is a Senior Career Coach that is fluent in English and Spanish with over 20 years of Workforce Development experience. Irene started her career with Workforce development in 1998 at DePaul University, under the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) program, serving Adult, Dislocated workers, and Out of School Youth customers in need of starting a career pathway and/or job placement.
Since then Irene has continued to work in Workforce Development transitioning from JTPA to the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and most recently to the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA), specializing in working with In School and Out of School Youth.
Irene is passionate about empowering Youth and Adults with a career path that will give them the stability they need for a secure future. Irene’s goal is to spread the word about WIOA and the service benefits.
Her message to everyone is that it is never to late to reinvent yourself, and through WIOA anything is possible!
In her free time Irene volunteers with her Alderman(Gilbert Villegas), Committee Man (Luis Arroyo Sr.), Commissioner (Luis Arroyo Jr.) and State Senator (Omar Aquino).
