Program Approval and Scope

According to the Ohio Department of Health, the Radiography program approval permits MCC to conduct radiologic technology education in alignment with Ohio Administrative Code 3701-72-03. The program culminates in an Associate of Applied Science in Radiography and is designed to prepare students for professional practice in medical imaging environments.

The approved program includes:

  • A 20-month curriculum leading to an Associate of Applied Science degree
  • Didactic and hands-on instruction in radiographic procedures and patient care
  • Record-keeping and curriculum oversight in accordance with Ohio regulatory requirements

The Ohio Department of Health also recognizes that students enrolled in radiologic technology programs may pursue a General X-Ray Machine Operator (GXMO) license, subject to applicable examination and registration procedures administered through RadEd.

Supporting Ohio’s Healthcare Workforce

This approval reflects MCC’s continued investment in healthcare education pathways that align with state oversight, workforce needs, and clinical standards. Radiography remains a critical diagnostic discipline within healthcare systems, supporting physicians and care teams through medical imaging services essential to patient diagnosis and treatment.

MCC’s Radiography program is structured to provide students with the foundational knowledge, technical skills, and professional preparation necessary to enter the field with confidence and competence.

“Approval from the Ohio Department of Health is a meaningful milestone for Midwestern Career College. It reflects the rigor of our program design and our commitment to delivering healthcare education that meets state standards and prepares students for real clinical environments.”
