About The Job

In this role, the Phlebotomist uses approved techniques to collect quality biological samples for laboratory testing from all patient populations (pediatric through geriatric); and performs electrocardiograms (EKG’s) for cardiology interpretation, all while focusing on the needs of the patient and exemplifying the service excellence goals of care, concern, respect and cooperation.

Here is what you will need

  • High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
  • Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications

Preferred

  • CPR must be obtained within 90 days of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Only.
  • Phlebotomy certification – Certifying agencies: ASPT – American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians, NCCT- National Center for Competency Testing, NHA – National Healthcare Association (CPT), NPA – National Phlebotomy Association
