About The Job

In this role, the Ultrasound Lead Technologist, under the general supervision of a radiologist, and in accordance with department protocols, the ultra-sonographer utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data which is used by physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis resulting in quality patient care. Performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed sonographic images for diagnosis. The Lead Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the US technologist staff coordination, directing, and implementing of the patient care delivery of US procedures in the section of their management designate. Works in conjunction with the Director of Medical Imaging services

Minimum Required

Here is what you will need

• Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
• Specific Degree(s): Radiologic Technology
• 1-2 years managerial Experience

Licensure/Certifications

Required:

• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
