Access Community Health Network is currently looking to hire for several Medical Assistant job opportunities in the Chicagoland area. Access Community Health Network, one of the nation’s largest networks of federally qualified health centers, ACCESS serves more than 175,000 patients each year at its 35 locations in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs of Cook and DuPage County.
The Medical Assistant is part of a healthcare team assisting medical providers in rendering professional care to patients within an ambulatory/primary care setting.
Work with team members such as providers, front desk staff and others to provide quality health services
Assist provider with onsite procedures
Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and administer medications/vaccines
Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments, and reviewing medical records
High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited entity
Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program
Classroom CPR certification
A minimum of one (1) year experience preferred or externship if less than 1 year
Basic proficiency with EHR (preferred)
