Position Overview
We are currently seeking a OB Surgical Technician for [dept/unit] located at Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, IL. This is a part-time position (24hrs/wk) and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled on the Night shift 11:00PM – 7:00AM, with rotation into every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).  This position requires rotation into holidays.


Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Assist RN in direct patient care and other activities essential to unit functioning
  • Work under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager or designated RN
  • Perform scrub tech duties, assist maintaining supplies and equipment, on occasion may perform clerical duties, and will promote general neatness and safety on the unit under supervision of designated shift supervisor and medical staff
  • Guidelines include all departmental, personnel, and hospital policies and procedures
  • Ages of patients served includes adult age groups, adolescents, and newborns

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required

BLS/CPR certification required

Certified Nursing Assistant Certification by the State of Illinois and in good standing on the IDPH healthcare worker registry

Minimum 1 year clinical rotation in nursing school
