Job Summary

Electroneurodiagnostic Technician I (END Tech I/EEG ) performs all modalities of EEG and Epilepsy Monitoring procedures under the general oversight of a Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T. by ABRET), Laboratory Manager, Chief END Tech, END Tech IOM III, END TECH II, and Medical Director (MD) in the EEG/Epilepsy Monitoring Section in the Neurophysiology Laboratory. Demonstrates the MAGIS values through teamwork, effective communication, and problem solving to achieve quality outcomes, customer satisfaction, safety and safe patient care.
Position Responsibilities:
• Performs routine EEGs on Pediatric and Adult patients in the Laboratory, bedside, and ICU environment.
• Performs special EEG procedures: Neonatal, ECS, prolonged EEG during Status Epilepticus and  pentobarbital Coma, WADA and PetScan EEG.
• Performs long term Video/EEG monitoring (Epilepsy Monitoring) with surface and/or under supervision: with strips/grids/depth electrodes.
• Assists and performs, under supervision, all modalities of Diagnostic Evoked Potentials on Pediatric and Adult patients, in the Lab, bedside, and ICU environment.
• Observes and assists, under supervision, in performing IOM monitoring during surgical procedures.

Position Requirements:
• High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
• Specify Degree(s): 1 yr END Tech Program graduate, anatomy and physiology
• Basic Life Support (CPR)
