Certified Medical Assistant
Under the direction of the Physician and/or Manager in an outpatient clinical setting, the Medical Assistant assists with direct patient care; performs specialized medical test of a routine nature, as dictated by established policies and procedures. The Medical Assistant also is responsible for various clerical/administrative duties as necessary, works in a variety of office settings with multi-specialty providers and, thus, duties may vary but always focus on meeting the physician and patients’ needs.
High School Diploma plus specialized training (6 months-2 years; 3 months to 1 year experience)
MD clinical office experience required; Pediatric experience preferred
EHR (EPIC) experience, a plus/preferred
Bilingual a plus/preferred
Current CPR (American Heart Association)
Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT or NCCT (required within 1 year of hire)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent organizational skills
