COVID-19 Testing Team Member

Lifescan Laboratories in Skokie, IL is currently hiring for COVID-19 Testing Team Members.  Under the direction of the Resource Coordinator, clinical team members will travel for mass COVID-19 screenings throughout the Chicagoland area and the surrounding suburbs. The testing team members must adhere to established policies and procedures. The job requires a vehicle and will be compensated for the hours and drive time. The Clinical Team Members will have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and collect specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.

Responsibilities: will include:
90 % – Essential – Field Operations and Specimen Collection
Clinical team members are expected to be flexible and operate in any role assigned throughout
the day including but not limited to registration, specimen collection, and traffic control (for
events).Provide patient education and excellent customer service related to COVID-19 and
instructions for receiving results. Adheres to protocols set in place for specimen collection, including but not limited to appropriate patient identification, registration, specimen collection (nasopharyngeal and/or pharyngeal swabs and/or venipuncture), labeling, requisitioning, and transport of specimens to the lab by courier. Ensures that all safety precautions, HIPAA requirements and data entry are accurate and acknowledged during the collection process.

10 % – Essential – Supply Chain Management:
Clinical team members will assist with set up and breakdown of testing sites, traffic control, and
maintaining flow for each facility and/or event. Assist the Resource Coordinator with
preparation of supplies for each clinic including but not limited to; organizing, packing and
stocking supplies for each facility. Assisting Resource Coordinator with inventory counts and
ordering supplies. Supplies include personal protective equipment (PPE), specimen collection
kits, tents, tables, chairs etc.

Successful candidates will have:
High School or Equivalent and 6 months clinical experience associated with license or
certification
Driver’s License, BLS Certification, Nursing License (RN or LPN), National and EMT
Certification (EMT, AEMT, EMTP),  Patient Care Technician Certification, Medical Assistant Certification, or Certified Nurses Aide.

Schedule
PRN, Part Time, Full Time
Monday – Sunday
Shift times will vary based on business needs
