EEG Registered Technologist

The EEG Registered Technologist performs EEG (Electroencephalogram) departmental exams as requested by staff and area physicians using job-related record keeping and proper patient care during procedures meeting national competencies for performing an Electroencephalogram as presented by the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET).

Education
Knowledge necessary for this position normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma and graduation from an Electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Education and Accreditation, or through equivalent formal training.

Experience
Previous applicable experience beneficial.

Required
Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Other
Registry in EEG by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists, Inc. (ABRET), registry eligible in EPS, and/or three to five years’ experience in EEG and EPS beneficial.
